Conference topic: The Next Wave of Intelligent Systems

CECIIS 2026 brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals from September 16 – 18, 2026, in Varaždin to explore the transformative power of intelligent systems!

The Next Wave of Intelligent Systems explores the transformative power of intelligent systems at a moment when technological progress is no longer incremental, but systemic and deeply intertwined with how we understand, model, and act in the world. At the centre of attention are disruptive forces such as generative artificial intelligence, smart industry, digital twins, quantum computing, biotechnology, and renewable energy technologies. Together, these domains are radically reshaping paradigms in intelligent and information systems, opening new opportunities for innovation and for the creative creation of economic, social, and sustainable value. The central theme of the CECIIS 2026 conference is the synergy between humans and digital technology, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence as a cognitive partner rather than a mere tool for automation.
