The second day of CECIIS 2026, Thursday, 17 September, began with a full morning of parallel sessions. Strategic Planning and Decision Making covered IT project managers' career paths, how ready employees are for AI in the workplace, and technostress among developers. Across the hall, the second part of Learning Analytics, AI and Technologies in Education asked how generative AI is changing computing education. Topics included schema-first scaffolding and assessing student work with local large language models.

Later in the morning, the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth session looked at AI adoption in manufacturing, at how early-stage startups are tracked, and at generative AI as both a job resource and a job demand. The Trends in Software Engineering session covered security technical debt, embedded systems, SwiftUI migration, and how "vibe coding" is changing programming practice.

At midday, the lounge area turned into a meeting point for Project Pitches & Coffee Break. Participants presented their projects, looked for new collaborators and started new partnerships.

In the afternoon, Intelligent Systems covered LLM pipelines for accounting documents, knowledge graphs, benchmarks for AI-generated code, and security in vibe-coded web applications. The second part of Strategic Planning and Decision Making covered business analytics, GIS support for cycling tourism, and consumer behaviour on social media.

After a walking lunch at Restaurant Park, participants set out to explore, experience and savour Varaždin. The day ended with the conference dinner at Restaurant The Family.
