Project Pitches at the 35th CECIIS Conference
The session included a total of eight pitches, each allocated a 5-minute slot to present their projects, followed by questions and feedback from the audience. Below is a summary of the projects that were pitched:
- Erasmus+ INNOVATING LEARNING DESIGN IN HIGHER EDUCATION (iLED)

- This project focuses on innovative approaches to learning design in higher education, aiming to enhance the educational experience by integrating new teaching methodologies.
- TRUSTWORTHY LEARNING ANALYTICS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR SOUND LEARNING DESIGN (TRUELA)
- Presenter: Barbi Svetec
- TRUELA examines the role of learning analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in creating reliable and effective learning designs, ensuring that educational tools are grounded in sound, evidence-based practices.
- Digital Services for Circular Economy - a Toolbox for Regional Developers & SMEs (DECIDE)
- Presenter: Lea Masnec
- DECIDE offers a toolbox of digital services to support regional developers and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) in implementing circular economy principles, aiming to promote sustainable business models.
- Digitalization in the Context of the Response to Exogenous Shocks: Drivers, Barriers, and Impact on Firm Resilience (DigEntre)
- Presenter: Kristina Detelj
- DigEntre investigates how digitalization can help firms respond to external shocks, such as economic crises or pandemics, by examining both the drivers and barriers to implementation and their effects on business resilience.
- µDevOps - Microservice Development Operations (µDevOps)
- Presenter: Daniel Rodriguez
- µDevOps introduces strategies for streamlining microservice development and operations, offering solutions to enhance the efficiency of software engineering processes in the era of cloud computing.
- Digital Platform Enterprise (DEMO)
- Presenter: Larisa Hrustek
- DEMO presents a digital platform designed to support enterprises, emphasizing how digital tools can enhance business processes and operational efficiency across various sectors.
- Object-Oriented Programming for Fun (OOP4Fun)
- Presenter: Marko Mijač
- OOP4Fun aims to make learning object-oriented programming more engaging and enjoyable, promoting the development of programming skills through interactive and fun-based learning methods.
- Competences for Universities Using Technology in Education and Institutional Empowerment (CUTIE)
- Presenter: Helena Sigurðardóttir
- CUTIE focuses on the use of technology in higher education, aiming to enhance institutional competence by integrating digital tools to improve teaching, learning, and overall university management.
After the presentations, the session ended with the awarding of the "Best Pitch". The award was handed to Competences for Universities Using Technology in Education and Institutional Empowerment (CUTIE), acknowledging the outstanding quality, clarity, and innovation of their pitch.
This Project Pitch session provided an excellent platform for researchers and professionals to share their work, receive feedback, and inspire further collaboration in advancing technological solutions across various sectors.
The session was a part of the Project Oasis, where participants got to browse through project posters, booklets and explore expert profiles to gain insights into different areas of expertise. Participants also got a chance to initiate conversations, exchange business cards and discuss project ideas with like-minded innovators.
